Vanessa Reiser is seen on bodycam footage shared by Transparency Bodycam being questioned at a DWI checkpoint in Monmouth County around 10:30 p.m. on Sept. 22, 2023.

Reiser has 13K followers on Instagram, where her bio says she is a licensed clinical social worker, author, and expert in narcissistic/cult abuse. Reiser's ex-fiance is Luis Ruelas, who is now married to "Real Housewives of New Jersey" star Teresa Giudice.

In police papers obtained by Daily Voice, Middletown Officer Eric Van Schaack said he was assigned to the Monmouth County DWI Strike Force Checkpoint along Route 35 north when a white Jeep began slowly driving toward him, according to police paperwork obtained by Daily Voice.

He instructed the driver, later identified as Reiser, to stop, and immediately smelled alcohol on her and noticed her eyes were bloodshot and watery, police papers say.

The officer performed multiple field sobriety tests before Reiser was taken into custody and processed at Middletown police headquarters. She was issued summonses for operating under the influence, consent to take samples of breath, reckless driving, and failure to possess a driver's insurance card.
